Afghanistan’s cricket team won their maiden test on Monday in Dehradun, India. They beat Ireland by seven wickets to claim this historic win. This was only the second test of Afghanistan’s cricket team. Their first one was against India last year that they lost inside two days in Bangalore. Even for Ireland, this was just the second test outing. They played their first test also in the last year against Pakistan.
Asghar Afghan, the skipper of Afghanistan cricket summed up how vital this success is for them. He stated, “Upbeat for now, it’s an exceptionally noteworthy day for Afghanistan, for Afghanistan individuals, for our group, for our cricket board. We are extremely glad.”
Moreover, he credited his group for this memorable win, “It was our fantasy to play Test cricket. It was only our second Test and we won. I’ll give a great deal of credit to our bowlers, particularly Rashid Khan, Waqar (Salamkheil), Yamin (Ahmadzai), and (Mohammad) Nabi. They bowled great, on a wicket that was useful for batting.”
